Boost Talent – New Website Project.
Case Study: Boost Talent. An ethical tech talent solutions provider. Published May ’24
Boost Talent approached Bnode to design and build their new website development project.
Boost talent are a new, ethical tech talent solutions provider that are passionate about boosting individuals and communities to greatness. Their Mission is to elevate candidates to push the limits of their current career by mentoring them throughout the process. They are committed to collaborating with employers to ensure they generate exciting, career advancing vacancies to attract a diverse array of talent. All while placing 5% of their profits being invested back into the local community, towards youths from disadvantaged backgrounds, enabling access to a future in technology.
Objective
JB and Elly approached Bnode Ltd to create a newly designed, mobile responsive website. They didn’t have a website for their business as of yet although they did have brand guidelines for us to follow. They required a website that portrays their accessibility values and values towards local community that they (and Boost Talent) has.
The aim of the project was to show clear propositions about the professionalism and services provided by Boost Talent, all while portraying the friendliness of JB and Elly and relatability and understanding of people, no matter of their background or abilities.
Boost Talent – ‘recruitment done right’. Community lead with “Opportunities for everyone”, Boost talent also go out and about to work with the public, and give back to the local community.
A huge undertaking and responsibility, Bnode were asked to fully reflect the amazing work and quality of service that Boost Talent are providing, all while following the designed branding style provided.
A new accessibility feature was created.
Due to the nature of the branding, our usual colour changing accessibility tool would not have worked on this site. This website’s branding consisted of strict colours being used as foreground and background combinations and a set of rules to ensure consistency throughout. We therefore did a complete change to our accessibility tool so rather than separate font, button and background colours were chosen, we opted for the user being able to change to a colour scheme that followed a complex set of algorithms to invert some areas, leave other areas, and change colours to ensure that not only was the branding kept to, but also so that it could be read easily with the colours selected.
And the results? Clean, Fast, Accessible, Sustainable.
- A successful brand based colour scheme, allowing users to choose their colour setup.
- Simplified navigation structure for a great user experience with obvious call to actions.
- Bnode’s fully integrated accessibility tool for users to tailor their own experience, including:
Font Family and Size changer; small, medium and large.
Font layout changer for letter spacing and line height.
A new concept to the Colour changer.
Crosshair function for assistance with Dyslexia and other similar needs.
Image toggle so focus can remain on text without distractions.
Ruler, to help with Dyslexia and added focus.
- A low CO2 output of 0.180g per new site visit and 0.006g on return visits. (Graded as A)
