What are the FSB Awards?

Friday 24th February brought together around 200 people representing small businesses and self-employed entrepreneurs to celebrate the FSB Awards for 2023. The event was hosted at The Queens Hotel in Leeds, a very impressive venue to congratulate all of the finalists for all of the Yorkshire and The Humber area, and to award those that took the top place in each of the categories for their excellence and contributions within their areas.

Although all that attended were winners in everyone’s eyes for becoming a finalist due to all of the strong entries submitted, there was only 1 spot in each of the 12 categories available for the taking.

The event was hosted by Elly Fiorentini, a BBC broadcaster, news reader and producer. She did an amazing job at ensuring that everyone was having a great time, that everything ran smoothy (even during the 1 technical hitch with a video streaming issue), remaining calm, collected and professional throughout. One thing that I’ll definately take on board that Elly said is that “for many people it’s difficult to allow yourself some time off to celebrate your achievements or even acknowledge them”. This was very relatable and made the event even more enjoyable.

We’re already looking forward to the FSB Small business awards 2024 and will be entering again for the Yorkshire and The Humber area.
